Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Support the implementation and review of personalized care plans to ensure each resident’s needs are met effectively
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members to provide updates and ensure coordinated care delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with care home policies
- Support residents in engaging in social activities and recreational programs to enhance well-being
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols and under supervision as required
- Drive or accompany residents on outings or appointments when necessary, ensuring safety at all times
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Basic IT skills for documentation and accessing care plans efficiently
- Valid driving license is advantageous for roles involving transportation of residents or errands
- Ability to work flexible hours including day shifts and overnight shifts (nights) to meet the needs of the service
