What you’ll be doing:
We're looking for a Domestic Abuse Principal Officer to lead the coordination of a programme of work to improve outcomes related to domestic abuse and reduce inequalities across Slough.
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by domestic abuse?This is an exciting opportunity to join Slough Borough Council’s Community Safety team, with the post supporting work across children, families and communities. The role provides an opportunity to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external partners across Slough to prevent and reduce domestic abuse in our borough.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in coordinating support services, raising awareness, and working with partner agencies to ensure a comprehensive and effective response to domestic abuse across Slough.
Ideally you will have previous knowledge and expertise in domestic abuse, alongside experience of leading multi-agency collaboration, partnership working and stakeholder engagement. The successful postholder will become a strategic lead on domestic abuse for Slough Borough Council and will help enable the Council to fulfil its duties under the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.
Ideally the candidate will have significant experience Domestic Abuse themed work and partnership working. You should be competent in using IT systems to record the project implementation and management.
A full, current driving licence is desirable, and it is essential that you have a willingness to work out-of-hours work.

Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1 April, subject to six months’ service and satisfactory performance, until the maximum spinal column point is reached.
