Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Cleaning Manager to oversee and coordinate cleaning operations on construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in commercial cleaning, and janitorial experience. This role is vital in ensuring that construction environments are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and safety, facilitating smooth project progress and compliance with health regulations.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of cleaning staff on various construction sites, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules tailored to project timelines and site requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to company policies.
- Coordinate with site managers and contractors to plan cleaning activities around ongoing construction work.
- Train new team members in proper cleaning procedures, health and safety protocols, and utilisation of cleaning equipment.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of chemicals.
- Prepare reports on work progress, issues encountered, and resource requirements for senior management.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles within the construction industry.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with contractors, site managers, and team members.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction site cleaning.
