We Are Gateway is looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Operator to join our busy manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established business that manufactures steel chassis and fabricated products for customers across the UK.
This is not a warehouse picking role. You'll be responsible for safely moving large steel fabrications, supplying production lines with materials, loading and unloading vehicles, and supporting the smooth flow of production throughout our factory.
What you'll be doing
- Safely operating forklift trucks to transport large steel fabrications and materials around site.
- Feeding production lines with materials to keep manufacturing running efficiently.
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and accurately.
- Working closely with production teams to ensure materials are where they need to be.
- Carrying out daily pre-use checks on equipment.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety.
- Following all company Health & Safety procedures.
What we're looking for
- Valid B1 and C1 Forklift Truck certificates (essential).
- Previous experience moving large or awkward steel loads within a manufacturing environment.
- Confident operating forklifts safely in a busy production setting.
- A strong awareness of Health & Safety.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pm
Friday: 7:00am – 2:30pm
