As our central flagship branch, Sheffield serves as the primary hub for our brand and operational supply chain, supporting our expanding franchise network (including Nxtion Food Market Ashford Ltd and Nxtion Food Market Bolton Ltd).
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee daily business operations at our Sheffield flagship store and lead our international procurement supply chain. This is a high-level operational role where 80% of your time will be focused on strategic management, international supply chain procurement, administration, and franchise onboarding, with 20% dedicated to operational floor leadership during peak store hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- International Supply Chain & Procurement (80% Focus): Oversee stock selection, negotiate with international suppliers of African imports, manage freight logistics, and monitor custom compliance and product freshness (HACCP).
- Franchise Onboarding & Training: Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and directly onboard new branch directors and store leads across our expanding franchise network (Ashford and Bolton branches).
- People & Operations Management: Line-manage store staff (Business Support Officer, Customer Sales Representatives, and Interns), produce rotas, conduct performance reviews, and oversee daily revenue and margins.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) regulations, hygiene guidelines, health & safety, and record-keeping via LuwaSuite HR.
- Peak Hours Floor Leadership (20% Focus): Provide hands-on supervisory leadership on the retail floor during peak trading hours to maintain customer service standards.
Requirements:
- Essential: Minimum 3+ years of retail store management experience.
- Essential: Hands-on experience in specialized food procurement and international freight supply chain management (African food retail context strongly preferred).
- Proficiency in HR compliance and shift management software (LuwaSuite HR)
- Strong leadership, budget management, and staff training capabilities.
