Bird & Co is a growing London catering and events company looking for a Junior Content Creator / Reels Creator to work with us every Tuesday.
You'll be based primarily from our prep kitchen in Peckham, capturing what happens behind the scenes: food preparation, chefs at work, finished dishes, event setups and the general day-to-day of a busy catering company.
We're looking for someone creative who understands what makes good short-form content. We don't want overly polished corporate videos. We want engaging, natural content that people actually want to watch.
The role
You'll typically spend around 4–6 hours with us on Tuesdays filming content, then edit the footage in your own time during the week.
Typical weekly output will include:
- 3–5 edited Instagram Reels / TikToks
- Behind-the-scenes kitchen and event content
- Finished food and dish footage
- Photos and additional short-form clips
- Basic captions and uploading/scheduling content
- Helping us spot new content ideas and trends
Some Tuesdays may involve travelling with us to events elsewhere in London.
Who we're looking for
You don't need years of professional experience. This would suit a junior creator, film/media student, recent graduate or someone building their freelance portfolio.
You should:
- Understand Instagram Reels and TikTok
- Be confident filming and editing short-form video
- Have a strong eye for food, people and interesting moments
- Be comfortable working in a busy kitchen/event environment
- Be reliable and available on Tuesdays (can be flexible)
- Have your own suitable camera, high-quality smartphone or equivalent equipment
- Be able to edit independently
- Have examples of previous work, including personal projects
Pay & progression
£150 per week, including the agreed filming and weekly content deliverables.
We'll initially run the position as a 4-week paid trial.
There is genuine scope for the role to grow with Bird & Co, including additional days, increased responsibility and higher rates.
We're also open to offering performance bonuses for strong social media growth and content performance.
This is a freelance/self-employed position. You'll need to be able to invoice us and be responsible for your own tax.
