The children, staff and Governing Body of Tredegar Park Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspirational casual teacher to join the school team in September 2026. This post is aimed at someone who wants to be a part of a school community but doesn’t want to commit to full-time working.
We are looking for someone with passion and dedication in order to help us on our journey to provide the best quality education for all at Tredegar Park Primary School.
We are looking for candidates who have a genuine interest for learning and teaching. We want this candidate to share our passion for developing pedagogy that matches our vision and aims.
As part of the role, the successful candidate will fully engage in the life of the school. We are looking for a candidate who will proactively seek professional learning opportunities in order to refine their pedagogy but also to bring in fresh ideas to support the ongoing development of the school.
This contract will mean that you are called and offered work at short notice but there will also be opportunities for you to cover days or weeks in advance. For example, you will be called to check your availability to cover teachers attending professional learning networks and courses as well as covering short-term sickness absence.

Are able to develop excellent working relationships with all pupils, Governing Body members, staff and parents/carers.- Are dedicated to the social, emotional and mental wellbeing of all pupils.

- Are positive and respectful and reflect regularly on their practice in order to improve professionally.
- Have strong behaviour management strategies.
