We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised support to children and young people, fostering their development and well-being. Duties
- Offer one-to-one mentoring and guidance tailored to individual needs
- Assist children and young people with daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Support behavioural development through positive reinforcement and encouragement
- Facilitate engaging educational activities, including teaching basic skills and life lessons
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to deliver consistent support
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of each individual's development
- Promote social inclusion by encouraging participation in community activities
- Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure a safe environment at all times
Qualifications
- Experience or interest in working with children or young people is highly desirable
- Skills in mentoring, teaching, or supporting behavioural development are advantageous
- Compassionate, patient, and excellent at building rapport with diverse individuals
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating adaptability in various situations
- Relevant qualifications or training in childcare, education, or social care are beneficial but not essential
