The post holder will provide a comprehensive, high quality administrative service to the Weight Management Service (WMS). The WMS is a Health Board wide service which supports people across the lifespan to manage their weight from children and young people to adults.
The post holder will lead the planning and co-ordination of clinics and group interventions, and will undertake a range of secretarial duties and other administrative tasks as required by the service.
They will delegate administrative tasks to, and oversee weight management administrative work undertaken by other admin and clerical staff in the team.
The post-holder will:
Be an integral member of the Health Board wide WMS service providing administrative expertise, support and advice to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of WMS clinics and programmes; including the use of digital platforms, running of multi-disciplinary clinics, and patient group interventions.
Undertake a range of secretarial duties to support the WMS leadership and service delivery; maintaining action logs from key WMS meetings, supporting with the production of reports, co-ordinating and planning service-related meetings, informing key WMS documents and taking responsibility for service correspondence and written communications as required.
Inform the monitoring and evaluation of the Weight Management Service including waiting times, demand and capacity, and supporting service development and quality improvement.
Act as a key point of contact for the WMS with service users, colleagues from across the Health Board and other agencies; communicating
and co-ordinating links between the WMS and others.
