Position: Chef
Reporting to: General Manager F&B
We are currently seeking a passionate, and friendly Chef to Run our Kitchen here at Macclesfield Football Club.
Preparing fresh food daily, working in the kitchen for Bar Twenty Seven, producing Menu ordered food, catering for events to a consistent high standard.
Ability to manage during significant peaks of service working with a small friendly FOH team to maintain good quality food and a fast service.
Must demonstrate the ability to work well in a Team, and have the ability to work cleanly and efficiently.
To be allergen aware and hold Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate. This is a must for the role.
To monitor stock levels, place orders , manage cleaning rotas and Health and Safety.
We have a fully equipped kitchen with a 5* rating.

Our menu is always evolving and our specials board always requires content, so someone with the ideas and desire to contribute creativity will always be welcome.
The ideal candidate would have similar experience and/or a background in event catering, restaurant catering and conference and banqueting, but it's not a necessity as full training will be given.
Overall Objective: Assisting in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes. Preparing and serving menu meals. Assisting with the management of Health and Safety. Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices including all Allergens.
Summary of Duties
The Chef role involves:
· Preparing menus in collaboration with colleagues
· Put effort in optimising the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
· To control the wastage and the costs of their section, and to meet budget specifications
· Portion control
· Storage of food and provisions
· Raw material quality check
· Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
· Adhering to HACCP; Enabling and adherence of the principles and work practices detailed under HACCP System in the department such as Food Safety, Hygiene and Cleanliness, Health, Storage etc. as applicable to the area of your work place;
· Ensure all Allergens are listed clearly and understood
· To be in full control of GP and be able to maintain it every month
GENERAL
· To attend and contribute to all relevant training for Macclesfield FC Staff.
· To attend all relevant Macclesfield FC staff meetings.
· To keep up to date with all Macclesfield FC correspondence.
· Ensure you are aware of and keep updated in regards to best practice policies.
. To be prepared to do other duties to further the development of Macclesfield FC as and when required.
Essential
· A minimum of 3 years experience is essential for this role.
Flexible working hours required. Local, national and international travel where necessary.
· Must interconnect with all relevant MFC departments.

Desirable
· Previous experience of food & menu creation within the football and/or Food & Beverage industry.
· Management experience
· City & Guilds diplomas in professional cookery
