Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets project specifications. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying bonding agents as necessary before plastering.
- Mix plaster using hand tools or power tools to achieve the correct consistency.
- Apply plaster smoothly onto walls, ceilings, or other surfaces using trowels, hawks, and floats.
- Use bricklaying and masonry techniques where required for structural or decorative purposes.
- Operate power tools such as mixers, drills, and saws safely and efficiently.
- Carry out repairs and patch-up work on existing plastered surfaces to restore quality and appearance.
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to framing or support structures when needed.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised work site.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as roofers, welders, and masons to complete projects effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience in plastering or related building trades is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, masonry techniques, and the use of specialised equipment is essential.
- Knowledge of bricklaying, roofing, welding, and carpentry will be considered advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Prior experience working on residential or commercial construction sites is desirable but not mandatory for motivated candidates willing to learn.
