THE OPPORTUNITY
Zen Fundraising's UNHCR campaign is already up and running – the UK's first-ever face-to-face fundraising campaign for UNHCR is live in the field, with a management team already in place. We're now looking for an additional Manager to join that established team as it grows.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in training and coaching. You'll step into a team that's already operating, with campaign standards, systems, and momentum already set – and focus your energy on developing fundraisers and raising performance across the team.
Why this matters: face-to-face fundraising generates some of the most committed, long-term donors for humanitarian causes. By strengthening the training and coaching of our fundraisers, you'll directly improve the quality and sustainability of the income that funds UNHCR's protection and assistance work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Join the existing London management team supporting UNHCR's live face-to-face campaign, upholding the standards of quality, compliance, and donor experience already established
● Take a lead role in the training and coaching of fundraisers – inducting new starters and continuously developing the wider team's skills
● Recruit, onboard, and mentor new F2F fundraisers, building on the campaign's existing talent pipeline
● Deliver ongoing training covering UNHCR's mission, fundraising techniques, compliance standards, and professional conduct
● Drive and monitor field performance, setting targets, analysing results, and coaching individuals and the team to improve donor acquisition and quality
● Work alongside fellow Managers on daily team deployment across London locations, including site selection and resource allocation
● Support strong working relationships with UNHCR stakeholders, contributing to regular campaign updates and performance reporting
● Ensure full compliance with CIoF guidelines, GDPR, and UNHCR donor care standards at all times
● Coach and motivate fundraisers through regular field observations, one-to-ones, fundraising alongside the team and fostering a purpose-led and high-energy culture
ABOUT YOU
● A strong background in training and coaching within Face-to-Face or Private Site Fundraising is highly desirable
● Proven experience in F2F or Private Site Fundraising, ideally in a team leader or management capacity
● A genuine passion for humanitarian causes and the work of UNHCR – you'll be an ambassador for one of the world's most important organisations
● Strong people management skills with a track record of developing and upskilling field teams
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – confident engaging with the public and inspiring colleagues
● Results-driven mindset with the ability to analyse performance data and adapt quickly
● High standards of integrity, professionalism, and donor care
● Comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
● Knowledge of CIoF regulations and sector compliance is an advantage
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
● Base salary: £40,000 per annum
● Performance bonus: uncapped, based on campaign results
● Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays
● Career development: fast-track within an already-thriving campaign
● Working pattern: Monday work-from-home, Tuesday–Friday in the field
