Salary: £12,259.06 – £12,307.18 per annum (pro rata of £24,714 – £24,811 FTE)

Contract Type: 30 hours per week, 34 weeks per year, permanent.

Location: Paignton, Devon

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (Maths) to join our supportive and dedicated team, helping High Needs Students access and thrive within the GCSE and Functional Skills Maths curriculum.

What’s the role all about?

This is far more than a classroom support position. You'll play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, build independence, and achieve meaningful outcomes that will shape their futures.

Working closely with teaching staff and support teams, you will:

Support High Needs Students during maths lessons and learning activities
Help students engage with GCSE and Functional Skills Maths content
Encourage confidence, independence, and resilience in learning
Assist in delivering personalised support identified within Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Monitor progress and celebrate achievements, big and small
Contribute to an inclusive environment where every learner feels valued and supported
