Full job description

Bi-Fold Rolfe Ltd were established in 1966 and we are the South of England's leading independent industrial door company, specialising in the repair, maintenance, installation, and manufacture of all types of industrial, commercial, automatic, and retail door systems.

Job Summary:

Our company is seeking an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a deep knowledge of Automatic door systems and an ability to repair, install and maintain them. You should also possess outstanding problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and provide effective solutions to customer issues.

As an experienced Automatic Door Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of tasks including installation, repair, and maintenance. Using your expertise, you will also advise clients on equipment selection and provide technical support.

Responsibilities:

Install and repair Automatic doors, including swing, sliding and bifolding units
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with Automatic doors and provide effective solutions
Provide technical support to clients and onsite teams as well as training for junior technicians
Conduct preventive maintenance activities to prevent system failure or downtime
Manage and maintain equipment and tools
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures
Keep up-to-date with current industry trends and new technologies

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in automatic door installation, repair, and maintenance. (Record knowledge an advantage)
Proficiency in operating and maintaining automatic door equipment.
Thorough knowledge of Automatic door systems and relevant industry regulations and standards
Outstanding problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
