Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily pharmacy operations within a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in patient care, medication management, and clinical procedures, ensuring the delivery of exceptional pharmaceutical services. This leadership role requires a proactive approach to team management, regulatory compliance, and patient safety. The Pharmacy Manager will play a vital part in maintaining high standards of practice while fostering a collaborative environment for staff and patients alike.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise pharmacy staff to ensure efficient and accurate dispensing of medications
Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and legal requirements
Manage inventory control, including procurement, storage, and stock rotation of pharmaceuticals
Provide expert guidance on medication therapy management and patient care plans
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, pharmacy laws, and organisational policies
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes through effective medication use
Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of service
Facilitate ongoing staff training programmes on anatomy knowledge, medication updates, and clinical procedures
Maintain accurate documentation for all pharmacy activities and patient records
Stay current with advancements in pharmacy practice, including ICU experience requirements and new medication therapies

Qualifications

Registered Pharmacist with valid practising credentials in the UK
Significant experience in a clinical setting, preferably with ICU experience or specialised patient care roles
Strong knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and medication administration protocols
Proven leadership skills with experience managing pharmacy teams or departments
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Exceptional communication skills for liaising with healthcare professionals and patients
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on industry best practices

This role offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team within a dynamic healthcare environment committed to delivering outstanding patient care.

Pay: £26,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
