Salary - Base salary: £41,092 pa to c.£48,344pa depending on skills and experience. In addition, we offer flexible benefits fund of 15% which is paid on top base salary and is fully pensionable, as well as a range of competitive benefits - check them out in the Benefits section on our website.

As a GIS Manager at HS2 you will form an essential element of the Land Assembly process to support safeguarding, discretionary property schemes, property management, compulsory acquisition, land registration and management of Secretary of State for Transport legal interest in land.
About the role:
- Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
- Work with the GIS Technicians to deliver the land plan and mapping requirements of the HS2 Land & Property Team
- Manage and quality assure the GIS outputs to HS2 standards completed by more junior members of the team and provide them with feedback, guidance and mentoring to enable them to grow as GIS professionals.
- Manage capture and processing of L&P acquisition records including registered titles, possessed land, land acquired under discretionary schemes, compulsory acquisition including material detriment, blight notices and payments made under discretionary property schemes (homeowner payments, cash offer payments);
- Provision of guidance to others in plan preparation and derivation of new datasets through advanced GIS analysis and processing
- Interface with Land & Property and the corporate HS2 BIM/GIS team to ensure standards are maintained;
- Ensure all GIS Technicians adhere to HS2 GIS standards and specifications, through implementation and management of effective quality assurance processes;
- Manage the design, development and implementation of new or enhanced data specifications, standards and processes;
- Ensure spatial data delivered by the Land Referencing Consultants (PSC) to defined HS2 standards is subject to regular assurance
- Provide point of technical expertise within the Land Assembly team, and provide support to other areas of Land & Property as required;
Work collaboratively with PSC to improve efficiency and accuracy of spatial data delivery
