About The Role

Location: Peterborough
Hours: 16 hours per week (2 days per week)

We're looking for an organised, customer-focused Staff Shop Assistant to manage our on-site staff shop. This is a varied role that combines purchasing, merchandising and customer service to ensure our employees have access to a well-stocked, attractive and great value shop.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase stock from local retailers and suppliers.
Source the best products and secure the best value for money.
Monitor sales trends and employee feedback to ensure popular products are stocked.
Introduce new products and seasonal ranges to keep the shop fresh and appealing.
Open and operate the staff shop on the scheduled trading days.
Deliver excellent customer service to colleagues.
Ensure the shop is clean, tidy, well-stocked and presented to a high standard.
Replenish stock and rotate products where required.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, stock levels, sales and cash/card transactions.
Manage stock levels to minimise waste and avoid shortages.
Ensure pricing is accurate and clearly displayed.
Follow company procedures for cash handling, health and safety and food hygiene where applicable.
Liaise with internal teams to ensure the smooth running of the staff shop and fruit is available from the operation.

About You

Friendly, approachable and reliable.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Confident handling cashless sales and maintaining accurate records.
Able to work independently and use initiative.
A good eye for product presentation and merchandising.
Comfortable travelling to local shops to purchase stock.
Basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting.
Full UK driving license essential.
