Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. for 3 days a week. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where attention to detail and interpersonal skills are highly valued. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a keen interest in healthcare administration.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as needed
Answer phone calls promptly and courteously, directing inquiries appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management system
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing payments
Liaise with dental staff to ensure smooth communication between patients and practitioners
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times
Assist with general office duties to support the efficient running of the practice

Requirements

Previous office or administrative experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly demeanour
Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office or similar software
A positive attitude and willingness to learn about dental administrative procedures
