Job Description

We’re looking for a Claims Consultant to join our Group Protection team, where you’ll play a vital role in delivering fair and positive outcomes for our customers. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by supporting individuals and employers through the claims process, while working in a collaborative and inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and experiences.

What you'll be doing:

Validating and assessing Group Protection claims against policy terms and conditions
Gathering and requesting medical evidence for new and existing claims in line with agreed approaches
Calculating claim benefits accurately and in a timely manner
Managing and progressing claim requirements with internal teams and external customers
Building strong relationships with intermediaries and employer clients to support positive outcomes
Investigating claims thoroughly to determine eligibility and ensure fair decisions
Meeting service level agreements while delivering a high standard of customer experience
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting team and business projects

Who we're looking for:

Ability to take ownership of customer queries and resolve issues effectively
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
Solid IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience in customer service and/or administration, ideally within insurance or financial services
Analytical mindset with strong problem solving and investigative skills
