Financial Compliance Analyst – Remote

£29,500 per annum + Performance Bonus | 37 hours per week | Fully Remote

ProcurePublic is a public-sector framework provider looking for a reliable, analytical and resourceful Financial Compliance Analyst to join our growing team.

The role offers a £29,500 basic salary plus a performance-related bonus based on income successfully identified and recovered.

Previous procurement or financial compliance experience is not essential. We're looking for someone who is naturally inquisitive, confident with numbers and comfortable communicating professionally with suppliers and clients.

The Role

This is an investigative role combining financial analysis, supplier engagement and compliance.

Our systems capture and organise much of the financial information for you. Your job is to understand what the data is telling us, identify where something doesn't look right and investigate it.

Your responsibilities will include:

Reviewing financial and revenue data reported by suppliers
Identifying trends, anomalies and potential under-declarations
Comparing declarations against information from other sources
Investigating discrepancies and gathering supporting evidence
Speaking directly with suppliers to understand and resolve queries
Building positive, professional relationships with suppliers
Obtaining information through research, telephone calls and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests where appropriate
Following investigations through to a clear conclusion
Agreeing corrections and recovering income owed to ProcurePublic
Maintaining accurate records of investigations and outcomes

What We're Looking For

You don't need to be an accountant or have previous compliance experience. We're more interested in finding someone who is:

Analytical – you notice when figures or trends don't look right
Resourceful – you're prepared to investigate and find the information you need
Numerically confident – you're comfortable working with financial information and spreadsheets
Articulate – you can discuss potentially sensitive financial queries professionally
Persistent – you're prepared to follow an issue through to resolution
Personable – you can build good relationships while still asking challenging questions
Organised and reliable – you can manage several investigations at once
Commercially minded – you understand the importance of identifying and recovering income

Full training on our systems, frameworks and compliance processes will be provided.

Remote Working

This is a fully remote position, with flexibility for the right person. You'll need a suitable distraction-free working environment, reliable internet connectivity and an appropriate setting for business calls and online meetings.

The team meets once a month in the South East of England, and you will be expected to attend.

What We Offer

£29,500 basic salary + performance-related bonus based on income recovered

37 hours per week | Fully remote | Holiday entitlement | Workplace pension | Full training and support
