We're hiring a Night Public Area Cleaner for The Stratford, an Autograph Collection by Marriott design hotel in Stratford, East London (E20) — two minutes from Stratford International and Westfield, with Night Tube on the Jubilee and Central lines at weekends and night buses all week. £13.00 to £14 - per hour included service charge, with a free meal on every shift.
Working overnight while the hotel is quiet, you'll have the run of the building and the space to do the job properly — bringing our lobby, restaurants, bars and public spaces and back of back of the house, back to their best before the first guests come down in the morning. If you prefer a calm, independent shift and a settled routine over a busy daytime floor, this one's for you.
What you'll do
- Clean and maintain all public areas overnight — lobby, reception, bar, restaurant, lifts, staircases and corridors
- Deep clean public restrooms and keep them stocked, fresh and spotless throughout your shift
- Vacuum, mop, polish floors, and spot-clean and shampoo carpets and upholstery when its scheduled
- High dusting, glass and mirror cleaning, and polishing brass and surfaces
- Clean back of house areas, staff rooms, offices and service corridors, uniform room
- Carry out waste and recycling removal
- Reset and prepare meeting and event rooms as directed
- Use floor machines and cleaning equipment safely (full training provided)
- Respond to any overnight cleaning requests from the Night Team / Reception
- Report maintenance issues, damage or hazards to the night manager
- Follow all health, safety, hygiene and COSHH procedures
- Washing cleaning cloths and others
What we're looking for
- Someone reliable who takes pride in their work — full training given (previous cleaning, commercial, office or hotel cleaning experience is a bonus)
- Comfortable working nights and happy being physically active and on your feet
- Able to work independently and use your initiative with minimal supervision
- Trustworthy, punctual and thorough, with a keen eye for detail
- Able to communicate comfortably in English with the night team
- Right to work in the UK
Your shifts
- [11pm – 7.30am], [5-6] nights per week, including some weekends
