Production Kitchen Manager – Tease

Location: London

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £35.000-£37.000

Tease is looking for an experienced, creative and hands-on Production Kitchen Manager to lead our central production kitchen.

Our central kitchen produces ingredients and products for our Tease locations, so we need someone who can take full ownership of the operation, lead the team and ensure consistently high standards across production.

Excellent knowledge and proven experience in food safety and health and safety within a kitchen or food production environment is essential for this role. The successful candidate must be confident maintaining food safety systems, managing allergens, completing compliance records, carrying out risk assessments and ensuring the kitchen is always prepared for Environmental Health inspections.

Alongside strong operational and compliance experience, we are looking for someone creative and enthusiastic about food and product development. You will have the opportunity to create and test recipes, improve existing products, develop new menu ideas and help shape the future Tease offering.

What You’ll Be Doing

Managing the day-to-day operation of the Tease central production kitchen.

Leading, training, supporting and motivating the production team.

Planning workloads and ensuring production is completed accurately and on time.

Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and allergen standards.

Ensuring full compliance with health and safety requirements in the kitchen.

Maintaining food safety records, temperature checks, cleaning schedules and traceability documentation.

Carrying out and reviewing kitchen risk assessments.

Ensuring chemicals, equipment and machinery are used and stored safely.

Managing stock levels, ordering, stock rotation, expiry dates and waste.

Ensuring all products are made consistently and according to agreed recipes.

Preparing the kitchen for Environmental Health and other compliance inspections.

Creating, testing and improving recipes.

Developing new products, seasonal launches and menu ideas.

Working closely with the Head of Operations and wider Tease team.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has strong, proven experience managing food safety within a professional kitchen or food production environment.

Has excellent knowledge of kitchen health and safety procedures and legal requirements.

Has experience maintaining food safety documentation and preparing for Environmental Health inspections.

Has strong knowledge of HACCP, allergens, cross-contamination, temperature control, traceability and stock rotation.

Holds a minimum Level 3 Food Safety qualification or equivalent.

Has previous experience managing a central kitchen, production kitchen or busy food operation.

Is confident leading, training and developing a team.

Can identify risks, correct poor practices and maintain consistently high standards.

Is highly organised, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of an operation.

Has experience managing production, stock, ordering and waste.

Is creative and confident developing recipes and new product ideas.

Is excited about menu development and bringing new concepts to life.

Can balance creativity with food safety, consistency and commercial awareness.

A recognised health and safety qualification, HACCP training and experience within a multi-site hospitality, food retail, drinks or dessert business would be highly desirable.
