Installation & Project Manager – Bathrooms & Kitchens
We are looking for an organised, confident and experienced Installation & Project Manager to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on management role with responsibility for bathroom and kitchen installation projects from the point of handover through to completion.
You will take ownership of live installations and act as the main point of contact between our customers, installation teams, subcontractors and office team. Your responsibility will be to keep projects moving, customers informed and problems resolved quickly and professionally.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable making decisions, managing people and taking ownership of problems through to resolution without requiring constant direction.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
● Taking ownership of bathroom and kitchen installations from handover through to completion
● Acting as the main point of contact for customers throughout their installation
● Keeping customers updated on progress, timescales and any changes
● Liaising daily with our bathroom and kitchen installation teams
● Coordinating fitters, electricians, plumbers, decorators and other trades where required
● Ensuring everyone involved has the correct information and understands the project programme
● Monitoring multiple live installations and ensuring projects are progressing to schedule
● Visiting customer properties and live installations where required
● Identifying potential problems early and taking action to prevent unnecessary delays
● Dealing confidently with queries, complaints, delays and unexpected site issues
● Making day-to-day project decisions and finding practical solutions when problems arise
● Arranging and managing remedial or return visits where necessary
● Working with our office and purchasing team when additional or replacement materials are required
● Ensuring customer concerns are acknowledged, managed and resolved promptly
● Carrying out completion checks and ensuring outstanding items are followed through to resolution
● Keeping accurate records of project progress, customer communication, decisions, issues and outstanding works
● Helping to continuously improve our installation, project management and customer service processes
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with previous experience managing installation, construction, refurbishment or home-improvement projects who can confidently step into the role and take ownership from the outset.
The successful candidate will:
● Have previous experience as a Project Manager, Installation Manager, Contracts Manager or in a similar role
● Have experience managing projects from handover through to completion
● Be confident coordinating fitters, tradespeople and subcontractors
● Have experience dealing directly with customers during live installation or construction works
● Be capable of managing several live projects simultaneously while keeping each one organised and progressing
● Be confident dealing with problems, customer complaints, delays, remedial works and unexpected site issues
● Be capable of making sensible day-to-day decisions without requiring constant direction from senior management
● Understand the practical realities of carrying out work within customers’ homes
● Have excellent organisational and communication skills
● Be confident managing both customers and tradespeople professionally
● Be proactive and take genuine ownership of problems through to resolution
● Be confident using email, telephone and computer-based project/office systems
● Maintain clear and accurate records of conversations, decisions, outstanding works and project progress
● Have a full UK driving licence
Experience Required
Previous experience within bathrooms, kitchens, construction, property refurbishment, installations or the wider home-improvement industry is essential.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have previously managed domestic installation projects and trade teams and understand the challenges involved in delivering projects within occupied customer properties.
This is not an entry-level project management position.
We are looking for someone who already understands how to manage live projects, customers and tradespeople and who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
You do not necessarily need previous bathroom or kitchen experience if you have strong relevant experience managing similar domestic construction, refurbishment or installation projects.
A full UK driving licence is essential as the role will involve regular visits to customer properties and live installation sites throughout Shropshire.
Why Join Us?
Shropshire Home Interiors Group is in a significant period of growth, and this is a key appointment within the business.
This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of the installation side of a growing company rather than simply acting as an administrator between departments.

For the right person, there is significant scope for the position to develop into a senior operational role as the business expands.
