Our origin story
We have always believed that no-one should be isolated from learning, whatever their means or circumstance.
We work with two different isolated communities – and in the future we hope our work will reach many more. Yet our goal is always the same. To empower people through digital inclusion so they can change their lives for the better.
We hope that, like us, you believe digital inclusion can help people gain control of their lives. And by creating new opportunities for individuals, we can change our society, fix broken systems, and improve lives.

The Role
Are you an ambitious IT Support Engineer or Junior Systems Administrator looking to step up into the modern cloud-native space? We are seeking a proactive IT Systems & Automation Administrator to manage our Google-centric infrastructure while driving business efficiency through smart workflow automation, scripting, and process optimisation.
This is a unique growth role. Beyond managing our core Google Workspace and Chrome OS ecosystem, you will have the opportunity (upon successful completion of your probation) to enroll in a fully funded Level 4 AI & Automation Apprenticeship. This includes dedicated on-the-job study time to help you gain recognised qualifications and scale your technical skill set.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Escalations & Support: Deliver 2nd/3rd line support across hardware, cloud applications, and network connectivity.
- Google Environment Administration: Manage Google Workspace end-to-end (Gmail, Drive, OU structures, permissions, and security settings).
- Automation & Scripting: Develop, deploy, and maintain scripts (Google Apps Script, GAM CLI, Python, or Bash) to automate routine IT workflows, user lifecycle management, and platform integrations.
- Chrome OS & Endpoint Management: Configure, deploy, and manage Chromebooks and Chrome OS hardware enterprise-wide via the Google Admin Console.
- Security & Network Operations: Monitor network health (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi) and enforce robust security protocols (MFA, SSO, access policies).
- Documentation & Asset Management: Maintain accurate IT asset registers using appropriate platforms, document automated pipelines, and produce user-friendly guides and training.
What we are looking for
Essential
- Core Technical Experience: Proven track record in a 2nd Line Support, Systems Admin, or technical support role.
- Google Ecosystem Expertise: Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace and Chrome OS / Enterprise device management.
- Automation Aptitude: Demonstrated experience or a strong passion for scripting (e.g., GAM, Google Apps Script, Python, PowerShell) to eliminate manual tasks.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: A naturally analytical approach with a passion for designing smarter, faster systems.
- Communication: Clear, concise communication skills for both user support and technical documentation.
Desirable
- Experience with API integrations, webhooks, or iPaaS platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, Workato).
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with ticketing/helpdesk tools such as Jira or Salesforce Service Cloud.
What we offer & benefits
- Funded Career Progression: Full sponsorship for a Level 4 AI & Automation Apprenticeship post-probation, complete with allocated work hours for study and portfolio building.
- Competitive Compensation: £35,000 – £38,000 base salary, depending on experience.
- Comprehensive Perks: Company pension, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Medical cash back scheme and free on-site parking.
