Full job description

Due to increasing Order Book we are seeking an experienced and proactive Fabrication Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations at our facility in Lisburn. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in welding and fabrication, and a keen eye for quality control. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a dynamic team within a well-established organisation committed to safety, innovation, and excellence in metalwork and sheet metal fabrication.

Duties

Supervise daily fabrication activities, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards.
Coordinate with team members to allocate tasks involving welding .
Monitor the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed.
Conduct quality inspections on finished products and ongoing work to ensure compliance with specifications.
Provide training to team members on the correct use of tools and techniques.
Enforce health and safety regulations across all operations within the workshop or site environment.
Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, materials used, and team performance.

Skills

Proven experience in welding and welding techniques.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes including sheet metal work and assembly.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Competence in basic maths for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects simultaneously.
Leadership qualities with experience managing a team within a manufacturing or workshop environment.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and other departments. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional eager to lead a skilled team while ensuring precision craftsmanship in fabrication projects. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to safety standards, continuous improvement, and technical excellence within the manufacturing sector.

Pay: Up to £36,500.00 per year
