Full job description

Feather is a new independent restaurant opening on Whiteladies Road, built around fried chicken, poultry-led dishes, good wine, cocktails, and a warm, lively dining room. The vibe is friendly and casual, but with a strong emphasis on fresh food, high quality, and unique dining experiences.

We’re looking for a Restaurant Assistant Manager to help lead the front of house team from launch. You’ll work closely with the owners/manager across service, bookings, staff organisation, guest experience, stock, opening/closing procedures, and helping build strong systems as the restaurant grows.

As part of the opening team, you’ll also help shape how the restaurant runs day to day, so your own ideas, initiative, and experience will be very welcome.

Experience in busy restaurants or hospitality environments is essential. We’re looking for someone who is confident with guests, organised, calm under pressure, and able to support and motivate a small team.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting and leading daily service
Helping train and organise the front of house team
Maintaining high standards of customer service and cleanliness
Assisting with bookings, table management, and guest experience
Supporting stock control, ordering, and bar/restaurant organisation
Helping with opening and closing procedures
Working closely with the kitchen to keep service smooth and consistent

Parking is not an option without a residents permit, so we are looking for someone living locally or who can commute reliably to BS8 2PB.

We’re looking for someone reliable, personable, ambitious, and genuinely excited to be part of Feather from the beginning.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
