About the Role

If you are looking to accelerate your career working with a world-leading supplier of transmissions for motorsports and ultra-high performance hypercars, then look no further.

We have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced production engineer to join our fast-paced, dynamic and passionate team.

As part of the production engineering team, you will be responsible for defining manufacturing methods and best practices to achieve high-quality repeatable results for our world class products. You will provide manufacturing support to our engineering design team, our factory sites, sub-contract suppliers and customers.

You will have production engineering responsibility across multiple projects and manufacturing processes, requiring good initiative and ingenuity and working to tight deadlines.

Your sound working knowledge of manufacturing will be key to you optimising processes and manufacturing techniques.

About You

You will be a confident, flexible, self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills and a clear understanding of working with procedures, controls, and quality standards.

Qualified to a minimum HNC/HND level, or equivalent, in an engineering-related discipline, you will have at least three years’ experience in a production engineering role, with a strong background in material removal processes for the manufacture of metallic components. You will need a good understanding of machine tools, processes and best practises, with the ability to identify appropriate cutting tools and their applications. An understanding of tooling, jigs and fixture techniques is required.

Experience or awareness of gear cutting and heat treatment of metals would be an advantage as well as surface finishing processes. Prior experience in similar or related applications is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.

You will have the ability to work under pressure, have a robust approach to problem solving and an ability to promote good working relationships with your colleagues.

Strong influencing skills are essential, along with good organisational and IT skills. CAD experience is required, to produce 3D models and sheet drawings for manufacture; ideally using Siemens NX. CAD training to the required standard will be provided.
