Marine Insurance Technician (m/f/d)

over 140 insurance professionals across seven office locations in Hamburg, Singapore, Houston, Rotterdam, Piraeus, London and Zug, Georg Duncker serves more than 4,000 vessels

Our continuous growth requires dedicated employees who contribute to the company’s ongoing success with innovative ideas and professional expertise. To support this
objective, we are looking for a highly motivated Marine Insurance Technician (m/f/d) for our UK branch (London).

Your Tasks

Providing back-office support to our broking teams
Setting up files and handling all insurance contract documents (Cargo, H&M, P&I and
other marine insurance products)
Maintaining and validating contract and portfolio data
Communicating with brokers, underwriters, insurers and international clients
Managing premium accounting, invoicing and payment reconciliations
Supporting placement and renewal processes
Collaborating closely with broking teams across the Georg Duncker Group
Monitoring and maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory and compliance
requirements

Your Profile

Legally authorized to work in UK
Minimum of 5 years of experience as technician within the Lloyd’s and London insurance
market
Sound knowledge of Hull, Cargo and/or P&I insurance products
Proven experience in premium processing and the ability to provide technical insurance
expertise and support
Accurate, organized and proactive working style with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in an
international environment
Strong proficiency in London Market systems and insurance technology platforms
(PPL/Whitespace & Xchanging)
