Full job description

THE COMPANY

We are one of the leading Vehicle Converters in the UK and are now growing to become an internationally recognised Vehicle Conversion Specialist.

We build specialised vehicles for the Ambulance Services, Fire Services, Police Services and Military as well as customised vehicles for the Commercial & Industrial Sectors.

We are looking for a person with a proven track record in a diverse and fast moving manufacturing business. The person will need to be a self starter and posses a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

SKILLS REQUIREMENT

Experience in materials and parts handling ideally in a vehicle conversion environment
Experience & competence in materials management systems in an ISO environment
Experience in managing a materials handling team
Experience in organization stores to deal with everchanging BOM associated with each new contract.
Highly proficient in working with SAGE (or equivalent) software
Highly numerate with high level of IT skills are needed to fulfil this demanding position, especially on Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Experience of all material handling routines.
Purchasing & Expediting experience and dealing with suppliers
Experience in Negotiating with suppliers.
Familiar with using handling equipment & forklift driving.
Highly numerate with the ability to quickly adapt to a new environment and to be able to pick up on new parts and specifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
