Workshop Supervisor

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum
Location: Alfreton
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time (No Shift Pattern)
Annual Leave: 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and ensuring workshop operations run safely and efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing

As Workshop Supervisor, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day management of our workshop, ensuring equipment, assets, and vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, motivating, and developing a team of technicians and mechanics
Planning and coordinating workshop activities, repairs, and maintenance schedules
Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
Managing workshop resources, tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory
Monitoring productivity and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Supporting water and wastewater treatment projects through effective workshop operations
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures
Maintaining accurate service, maintenance, and inspection records
Collaborating with operational and project teams to meet business objectives

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a proactive leader who can balance technical expertise with excellent people management skills.

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience in a Workshop Supervisor, Workshop Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or similar role
Strong mechanical maintenance and repair knowledge
Experience leading and developing technical teams
Excellent organisational and planning skills
A positive, solution-focused approach
Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality standards
Good communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships

Experience within the water, wastewater, industrial, engineering, manufacturing, plant hire, utilities, or related sectors would be highly advantageous.

Requirements
