Exciting Opportunity for structural Steel Draughtsmen/Draughtswomen

J&D Pierce (Contracts) Ltd is Scotland's premier steelwork contractor working on some of UK's most exciting construction projects like Anfield Stadium, the National Innovation Centre, and Queen Street Station, changing the skyline of the UK.

We are seeking an experienced and committed Structural Steel Draughtsman to join our ever-expanding team in our East Kilbride facility. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in our structural steel projects.

Responsibilities:

Reading and interpreting engineers' and client drawings to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
Generating accurate and detailed 3D models using Tekla Structures, and subsequently creating General Arrangements (GAs) based on these models.
Detailing connections and producing fabrication drawings, showcasing a strong understanding of structural connections and their impact on fabrication and construction.
Working within specified programme dates with minimal supervision, ensuring efficient task management to meet project milestones.
Corresponding directly with engineers, clients, suppliers, as well as site and workshop teams as required, responding promptly to queries and facilitating effective communication.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in a similar role.
Competency in generation of 3D models.
Proficiency in Tekla Structures software.
Strong knowledge of the structural steel industry.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with precision.
