Full job description

Job Overview
We are a soft and hard landscaping/civil engineering company who operate as both main and sub-contractor for a variety of public and private clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our small dynamic team. This position requires a strong understanding of pricing and cost control and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. You will be involved from tender / quote right through to project fulfillment.

Responsibilities

Estimating at tender / quote stage
Preparing project budgets and cashflow
Monitor project progress and identify potential issues / opportunities that may affect margins
Prepare applications for payment
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other professionals on commercial matters

Skills
Strong knowledge of cost control methodologies and practices.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues before they arise.
Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field are preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and motivated Quantity Surveyor looking to expand their experience within a supportive environment that values professional development and teamwork.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kilmarnock KA3 2SE
