The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to support our Folkestone office with its commercial needs.

We are looking for someone with experience in Commercial Management who can start making an impact from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving the growth and profitability of the business by identifying, developing and securing new commercial opportunities across road, sea, air, courier freight, warehousing and customs services.
Developing and converting new business opportunities, target markets and customer relationships, while identifying opportunities to expand and enhance services provided to existing clients.
Working collaboratively with operational teams to ensure effective account management and delivery of a high-quality, tailored service to customers, supporting long-term retention and growth.
Managing commercial performance by ensuring appropriate pricing strategies, clear profit margins and maximum profitability across all accounts and opportunities.
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through regular engagement, including attending customer meetings, site visits and industry events where appropriate.

What you’ll bring:

Previous experience in a commercial, business development or sales role within a freight forwarding or logistics organisation is essential, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and developing profitable business across Air, Sea and/or Road freight services.
Good understanding of transport and Worldwide logistics
Strong resilience and positivity particularly in challenging situations
Outstanding customer service skills
Strong negotiation skills
The ability to develop and build strong and personable relationships over the phone and in person with a broad range of individuals
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a strong team player
The ability to keep self-motivated
High attention to detail
Accountability to yourself and others
Analytical and ambitious
High IT literacy skills
