About Liquid Asset Partners

Liquid Asset Partners is a growing whisky cask brokerage based in Brentwood. We work with private clients who are interested in purchasing and owning Scotch whisky casks as tangible assets.

As our client base continues to expand, we are looking for a confident and ambitious Junior Broker to join our sales team as a Client Opener.

The Role

This is an entry-level brokerage position suited to someone who already has some experience working as an opener, appointment setter or junior broker within a similar telephone-based sales environment.

Your main responsibility will be to speak with inbound enquiries, understand each prospective client’s circumstances and interests, qualify the opportunity and arrange a follow-up conversation with one of our senior brokers.

You will often be the first person a prospective client speaks to, so you must be professional, engaging and capable of building trust quickly.

This role provides an opportunity to develop your knowledge of the whisky cask market, improve your brokerage skills and progress into a closing broker position based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

Contact and qualify inbound enquiries
Build rapport with prospective clients over the telephone
Understand the client’s interest, experience, objectives and available budget
Clearly introduce Liquid Asset Partners and the whisky cask market
Identify suitable and genuinely interested prospects
Arrange qualified appointments for senior brokers
Follow up with leads by telephone and email
Maintain accurate and detailed records within the company CRM
Work closely with senior brokers to improve lead quality and conversion
Meet individual call, qualification and appointment targets
Complete ongoing product, sales and compliance training

What We Are Looking For

Applicants must have previous experience working within a brokerage, investment-sales, alternative-assets or similar telephone-based sales environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience as an opener, appointment setter or junior broker
A confident and professional telephone manner
Strong communication and rapport-building skills
Experience qualifying prospective clients
The ability to ask relevant questions and listen carefully
A motivated, competitive and target-driven attitude
Good organisation and attention to detail
The confidence to speak with professional and high-net-worth clients
A desire to learn and progress within a brokerage career
The ability to work effectively within a close-knit sales team
Previous knowledge of whisky is beneficial but not essential, as full product and market training will be provided.
