As an Assistant Electrical Engineer, you'll join our growing MEP team and support the delivery of multidisciplinary projects across a variety of sectors. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you'll contribute to electrical designs while developing your technical capability and progressing towards professional registration.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Assisting with the preparation of electrical designs and supporting documentation for projects across buildings, water, data centers, rail, and tunnels
- Supporting the production of load calculations, cable sizing, electrical schematics, and technical reports
- Assisting in the preparation and coordination of electrical layouts and models using Revit and AutoCAD
- Working closely with senior engineers and other disciplines to ensure designs meet client requirements, relevant standards, and project deadlines.
- Supporting site surveys, design coordination meetings, and technical reviews
- Assisting with the review and coordination of design information to ensure quality and accuracy
- Developing your technical knowledge through on-the-job learning, mentoring, and formal training

On top of that, you'll:
- Have a degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline
- Be pursuing Chartered Engineer status, or an equivalent qualification, through a recognized professional institution
- Have an understanding of electrical engineering principles and a willingness to develop technical design skills.
- Have familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD, or a willingness to learn.
- Have exposure to electrical design software (such as Trimble ProDesign, ETAP, Amtech, or similar) would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Have effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
