We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and detail-oriented Onboarding Officer to join our team.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career within HR, recruitment or administration. We are not necessarily looking for previous HR experience. Instead, we are seeking someone with strong administrative skills, a proactive approach, excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
The role is heavily focused on administration, coordination and process management, supporting the smooth onboarding and lifecycle management of Partners across the firm. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within a professional services environment.
You will work closely with the Senior Lateral Recruitment Manager and the Partner Onboarding and Operations Manager, supporting a wide range of recruitment, onboarding and HR administrative activities.
The Role
The Onboarding Assistant plays a key administrative role in ensuring the smooth running of onboarding and partner administration processes.
The position involves managing documentation, coordinating meetings, maintaining accurate records, arranging checks and supporting a variety of onboarding activities. This role would suit somebody who enjoys organisation, administration and working with people while ensuring processes are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule meetings, interviews and onboarding sessions using Outlook.
Support the onboarding process for new Partners joining the firm.
Coordinate pre-employment checks, including references, DBS checks and medical screening where required.
Prepare, maintain and update HR records and onboarding documentation.
Ensure employee records and databases are updated accurately and promptly.
Update content on the firm's intranet as required.
Provide administrative support throughout recruitment and onboarding processes.
Assist with preparing documentation and reports for senior stakeholders and board meetings.
Support Partner promotion and remuneration administration.
Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure all required actions are completed within agreed timescales.
Assist with Partner offboarding and leaving processes.
Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Monitor shared inboxes and respond to queries where appropriate.
Support the team with ongoing projects, process improvements and administrative initiatives.
Undertake general administrative duties to support the wider HR function.
