Job Title: Commercial Account Handler

Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 DOE

My client is looking for a Commercial Account Handler to join their collaborative and supportive team in central London, amidst the busy financial district the perfect place to develop yourself and expand your career with great support and hands on directors.

The business is a well-established and independently owned insurance brokerage that has built an outstanding reputation for delivering exceptional client service and handling complex commercial risks. As the business continues to grow, they're looking to strengthen their London team with the addition of a Commercial Account Handler.

The Role

You'll be responsible for handling commercial insurance cases from inception through to completion, supporting clients, insurers and colleagues to ensure a great service is delivered throughout the insurance lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments from start to finish.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders.
Negotiating with insurers to secure the best possible outcomes for clients.
Producing quotations, policy documentation, endorsements and other insurance documentation.
Marketing risks to insurers and assisting with complex placements.
Ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant and produced within agreed timescales.
Maintaining accurate records across internal systems.
Providing outstanding customer service while identifying opportunities to cross-sell additional products where appropriate.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the highest standards of service.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Commercial Account Handler within an insurance brokerage, Ideally wholesale but not essential.
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail.
Experience using Acturis would be advantageous but isn't essential.
Cert CII qualified (or working towards) is desirable, although support will be provided for professional qualifications.
