HR, Recruitment & Training Coordinator (Part- time)

Salary: £14,400-£15,500 per annum for 18 hours per week (FTE £30,000 - £32,000)

The role:

As the HR, Recruitment & Training Coordinator, you will provide professional HR support across the business while ensuring an excellent employee and candidate experience. Working closely with the HR Lead and hiring managers, you will coordinate HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations processes, sickness absence management, training coordination, and employee engagement activities.

The successful candidate will be proactive, highly organised, and confident building relationships with employees and managers at all levels.

This is a role based at our headquarters in Kendal.

What you’ll be doing:

Provide day-to-day HR administrative support, including preparing contracts, onboarding documentation, maintaining employee records, and updating HR systems.
Coordinate and support first-stage review meetings for absence management and probation, including preparing documentation, arranging meetings, taking notes, and following up on agreed actions.
Coordinate occupational health appointments and site visits, including liaising with providers, managers, and employees, preparing relevant documentation, and following up on outcomes where required.
Maintain and update HR systems ensuring information is accurate, up to date, and used effectively to support HR processes and reporting.
Support effective time management processes, including monitoring deadlines, coordinating reminders, and ensuring HR actions are completed in a timely manner.
Assist with the ongoing improvement of HR systems and administrative processes, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy.
Support employee engagement initiatives by helping organise company events, wellbeing activities, occupational health-related activities, and internal communications.
Build positive working relationships with employees and provide a professional first point of contact for routine HR and recruitment queries.
Follow all company Health & Safety procedures, including safe working practices and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
Take responsibility for supporting the company's commitment to Product Legality, Quality, and Authenticity by following company policies and procedures at all times.
Ensure employee records are accurate, confidential, and maintained in line with GDPR and company policies.
Support recruitment activities by posting job adverts, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and assisting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
Assist with onboarding new employees, ensuring all pre-employment documentation is completed and induction activities are arranged.
Help coordinate training programmes, maintain training records, and monitor mandatory training completion.
Provide administrative support for learning and development activities, probation reviews, and employee lifecycle processes.

What you’ll need:

Essential

Previous experience in an administrative, HR, recruitment, or office support role (minimum 2 years preferred).

· Minimum Level 3 CIPD qualification.

Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
A positive, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.

Desirable

Previous experience supporting recruitment or HR administration.
Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or office environment.

An interest in Human Resources or working towards a CIPD qualification
