Assistant Design Manager

West Midlands

Ideally, you will based in or around the West Midlands area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.

What you will be doing:

Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
Understanding of compliance with CDM 2015 and the principle of prevention and safety in design.
Assist or lead the design process in accordance with the Galliford Try Building Management System.
Assist in the Development and agreement of the scope and responsibilities matrix for consultants and invite fees for the compilation and management of the project fee schedule.
Assist in the Development of the design programme in conjunction with the Planner
Develop, manage, monitor and report on the MIDP/ IRS and progress and quality of design deliverables

About You:

Experienced in and knowledge of CDM 2015.
Aware of H&S responsibilities and adheres to company policies.
Able read and interpret design and construction programmes.
Understands buildability and will challenge if designs do not meet the sequencing or construction methodology.
Analytical with advanced problem-solving skills.
Able to develop ideas and present concisely.
Excellent communicator able to engage with senior stakeholders.
