We’re looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our Pricing and Proposition team, based in either Haywards Heath (West Sussex) or Salford Quays (Manchester).
As part of our Telematics Pricing team, you'll work alongside experienced pricing and telematics specialists, using behavioural data, advanced analytics, and predictive modelling to shape pricing strategy and drive commercial performance.
You'll apply your technical expertise and pricing insight to influence key business decisions, improve risk selection and portfolio performance, and help deliver better outcomes for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the continued evolution of our telematics proposition and make a tangible impact on the business.
This role offers a predominantly home-based working pattern, with just one day per month in the office in either Salford Quays (Manchester) or Haywards Heath (West Sussex). We’re also flexible, if you'd prefer to spend more time with the team, you're welcome to work from the office more frequently.
Core skills we’re looking for to succeed in the role:

Academic Background: Minimum 2:1 degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative discipline.

Industry Experience: Proven experience in a pricing role within the motor insurance industry, with exposure to telematics insurance

Data & Analytics Expertise: Hands-on experience working with telematics or other high velocity, high-volume sensor-based datasets using Python and SQL within cloud-based analytics environments

Predictive Modelling Experience: Experience developing and deploying predictive models using Python and established data science methodologies would be advantageous

Technical Skills & Tools: Experience with Radar is highly desirable

- You’ll contribute to the development of scalable data solutions, modelling datasets and analytical frameworks to support pricing strategy and business decision-making.

You’ll identify and implement innovative analytical techniques, data sources and visualisation approaches, developing reporting and monitoring frameworks that deliver actionable insights and impactful management information.

You’ll champion best practice in coding, automation and analytical governance.

You’ll contribute to the assessment and implementation of new internal and external data sources, identifying opportunities to enhance risk segmentation, predictive performance and pricing sophistication.

You’ll own the development, monitoring and enhancement of predictive pricing models, proactively identifying opportunities to improve model performance, stability and business value.

You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across other teams to drive best practice in pricing methodology and model governance.

You’ll act as a subject matter expert within the business, sharing knowledge during team meetings and in-person presentations on away days.

You’ll maintain and enhance expertise in emerging industry trends, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Experience & knowledge

Experience in a relevant pricing role within the motor insurance industry, in telematics insurance.

Hands-on experience working with telematics or other high-velocity and high-volume sensor-based data using Python and SQL on cloud-based analytics platforms.

Hands-on experience building and deploying predictive models using Python packages and data science principles is advantageous.

Understanding of insurance pricing and products.

Understanding of data science concepts and tools.

Radar experience is preferred.
Skills
-
Strong technical skills, supported by an undergraduate or graduate degree in a numerical discipline.

Hands-on experience in Python and SQL.

Hands-on experience in statistical modelling using GBMs/GLMs.

Experience in project management.

Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to produce high-level and low-level analysis.

Ability to influence and educate stakeholders through verbal and written communication.
Qualifications
