Overview

As the Claims Operations Manager, you will play an integral part in ensuring the delivery of professional, quality, customer and outcome focused claims services in a cost effective and consistent manner. You will support the development of resource capability, drive quality assurance activities to support continuous improvement, achieve financial targets and demonstrating behaviours that are in line with the Company Values.

You will drive collaboration with the senior leadership team to meet contractual obligations, enhance financial outcomes, and identify opportunities for business growth. This position requires strong leadership, guidance, and the ability to inspire teams to deliver exceptional results.

How you'll make an impact

Contribute to the development, implementation and revision of the National Operations Strategy that supports Gallagher Bassett’s vision and goals
In conjunction with the General Manager – SA, analyse current and future trends and needs and accurately assess claims operations functional responsibilities, competitive strengths and vulnerabilities.
Contribute to the business planning function for Workers Compensation South Australia; with a primary focus on ensuring the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of key areas of responsibility under the plan, to achieve claims operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop strong and effective mutually beneficial working relationships with RTWSA as our primary client, and ensure that we meet or exceed expectations in relation to our contractual KPIs.
Identify and mitigate key business risks within the SA Claims Operations
Ensure claims operations staff deliver customer focused service in line with our agreed service standards.

About you

The successful candidate will bring senior client relationship and Return to Work/Worker Compensation experience, strong operational leadership capability and a proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead high-performing teams. You will have strong business acumen, a strategic mindset, a deep commitment to customer service and the confidence to work across complex stakeholder environments. Experience in workers compensation, insurance or related service-based environments will be highly regarded, along with the ability to interpret data, manage priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
