Full job description

Ruby & White Butchers are looking for a reliable Skilled Butcher to join our hard working wholesale butchery team.

We supply a large number of pubs, restaurants, hotels and caterers in Bristol and the surrounding area. Our product range is extensive and we pride ourselves on quality, consistency and our ability to prepare customer orders to their exact requirements and specifications. We are a young and rapidly expanding shop and wholesale butchery driven by fresh ideas and an innovative approach to succeeding in today’s competitive and evolving food service industry.

For this role, you will have knowledge and experience of cutting all meat types to different and accurate specifications in a fast paced environment. This will include excellent portion control, so a good eye for quality control and the ability to minimize wastage is key.

Good working knowledge of the foods safety requirements in a licensed cutting plant is advantageous.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

Be hard working, punctual, honest and reliable
Be able to work under pressure, as it is a fast paced environment, while still following important safety procedures
Have experience working in a wholesale butchery environment
Be a strong team player

This is a part time position, working approximately 20 - 24 hours per week. We can be flexible on shifts, including both day and night hours.
