Job overview

To provide comprehensive administrative and organisational support for the planning, coordination and delivery of education and training programmes for resident doctors within the Trust. The post holder will work as an integral member of the Medical Education team, liaising closely with colleagues across Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME), clinical educators and resident doctors to ensure the smooth and efficient running of training programmes and the delivery of a high-quality educational service.

This role contributes directly to the Trust's commitment to delivering excellence in medical education, supporting workforce development and enhancing the learning experience of resident doctors.

Main duties of the job

Process study leave applications as directed in a timely manner in accordance with the procedures and dealing with related queries.
Complete monthly NHSE Study Leave and locally delivered courses report for trust reimbursement.
Provide administrative support for the Director of Medical Education, Deputy Director of Medical Education and Medical Education Manager.
To provide administration support for the F2/ IMT Band 5 Coordinator.
To support the arrangement of F2/IMT teaching programmes – e.g. confirming speakers, booking rooms and circulating to trainees.
Support IMT Tutor and administration for the medicine faculty meeting (agenda and minutes).
Support F2, FTPD and foundation faculty meeting administration (agenda and minutes).
Ensure F2 HORUS e-portfolios are updated and provide administrative support for ARCPs.
To deal with any queries relating to the on-call room and the doctors’ mess.
Provide administrative support to the Local Faculty Group Meetings and trainees for the following specialties.
To provide administration support for resident doctors’ induction as advised by the induction lead.
To ensure that names are obtained for Educational/ Clinical supervisors from specialties for new cohorts of resident doctors

Essential criteria

GCSE at Grade C/Grade 4 or above including English and Maths or equivalent

Educated to Degree level or equivalent

Experience

Experience of working with clinical staff in the NHS or equivalent in an administrative capacity
At least 2 years previous administration experience
Experience of meeting deadlines to agreed standards
