Full job description

Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Retail Operations Manager to lead and optimize the daily functions of our retail outlets. This pivotal role involves overseeing store performance, managing teams, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for retail management. Your proactive approach will drive sales growth, streamline operations, and foster a motivating environment for staff and customers alike.

Duties

Plan, organise and oversee the daily operations of the Company's retail stores to achieve operational excellence.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity and profitability.
Monitor sales performance, gross margins and operational costs, taking corrective action where required.
Lead, supervise and support Store Managers and retail staff through effective performance management and training.
Plan staffing requirements, prepare work schedules and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
Manage procurement activities, negotiate with suppliers where required and monitor purchasing processes.
Oversee stock control, inventory management and replenishment to minimise waste and maximise product availability.
Coordinate logistics and product distribution to ensure timely stock movement across retail operations.
Analyse operational and financial performance data and prepare management reports for senior management.
Ensure full compliance with food hygiene legislation, health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Investigate customer complaints and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
Monitor business risks and implement appropriate operational controls.
Support new business initiatives, operational improvement projects and business expansion activities.

Qualifications

Proven management experience in retail or sales environments with supervisory responsibilities
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams
Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable
Demonstrated experience in team management, merchandising, and sales management
Exceptional organizational skills with effective time management capabilities
Background in retail management complemented by administrative experience and phone etiquette proficiency
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of service and organization

Pay: £37,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
