Job Title: Senior Intelligence Manager
Salary: The starting salary is £62,310, which includes allowances totalling £3,009.
The salary is broken down as £59,301 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £72,254. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31/03/2027 (with the potential for further extension subject to funding and performance).

NPCC SERIOUS ORGANISED CRIME TEAM
The NPCC Serious Organised Crime Team plays a crucial role in communicating the collective views and action of UK police chiefs to the public, government, and stakeholders, building and maintaining confidence in policing at the national level and supporting effective engagement with stakeholders.
THE ROLE
The role forms part of the Centre for Performance and Analysis (CPA) within the NPCC Serious and Organised Crime (SOC) Portfolio.
The CPA is an intelligence function that works to improve understanding of SOC risk, the Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) network’s response and results; identify operational opportunities to disrupt SOC; share good practice and develop the knowledge of the network; and coordinate the network’s capacity through effective cooperation.
The Senior Intelligence Manager will lead the CPA function, providing oversight and authorisation over all CPA business, leading the delivery of the NPCC SOC Portfolio performance management and intelligence analytical functions. The post holder will provide specialist professional guidance at a national level to Chief and Senior Officers to fulfil the NPCC SOC Portfolio intelligence and performance objectives.
The successful candidate would need to have the following experiences and skills:
Be accredited / achieve IPP accreditation within 12 months at Intelligence Manager and Intelligence Supervisor Levels
Substantial experience of leadership and management within the analytical environment, demonstrating influence of strategic decision making at an internal and external organisational level.
Demonstrate experience of managing, influencing, and motivating a multi-skilled team, setting strategic objectives, problem solving and developing and monitoring performance frameworks that promote best practice and efficient and effective service delivery.
Able to lead by example and to communicate and enforce standards of language, behaviour and working practice, demonstrating a knowledge of and commitment to fairness, quality and diversity.
Demonstrating a clear experience of understanding budgetary constraints and managing financial expenditure, applying cost methods for strategic change and service delivery, including having experience of compiling and securing additional funds for projects and / or work streams.

VETTING
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post.
