Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Pastoral Support & Student Liaison Manager to join our Student Services team at our Cambridge and Huntingdon Campuses.

You will join us on a full time (37 hours), full year basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £39,401 per annum, plus staff benefits.

About the role:

The primary purpose of this job role is to provide operational leadership and management of the Pastoral Support and Student Liaison teams across both campuses, ensuring a consistent, responsive and student-centred approach. You will oversee staff performance, development and wellbeing within the Pastoral Support and Student Liaison teams, ensuring high standards of service delivery, accountability and a consistent high level of student experience.

The primary duties, tasks and responsibilities of this job role are to:

Manage and lead the Pastoral Support Coordinator, Advisors, Student Liaison Coordinator and Officers, providing specialist knowledge to further develop the service and the implementation of new strategies and resources
Promote and embed effective pastoral student approaches, sharing best practice and supporting continuous improvement across the team
Oversee the delivery of pastoral support provision across the college, ensuring a consistent, student-centred approach and high standards of practice

What we are looking for in our role:

Good level of education, including GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent level) minimum of Grade C/4
Educated to Level 3 or above in Education, Youth Work, Social Work, Leadership & Management or a related discipline
Substantial experience of managing and leading teams, including direct line management responsibility for recruitment, performance management, probation reviews, appraisals, supervision, attendance management and staff development
Significant experience working within student services, pastoral support, safeguarding, inclusion, welfare or a related support environment.
Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, student wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion practices
