As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and compassionate Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our expanding clinical team.
The Role
The successful candidate will work autonomously within their scope of practice, providing high-quality assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients presenting with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Key Responsibilities
Undertake comprehensive history taking and clinical assessment. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses. Independently prescribe medications within current prescribing legislation. Request and interpret blood tests, imaging and other diagnostic investigations. Develop evidence-based treatment plans. Provide health promotion and preventative healthcare advice. Manage minor illnesses and injuries. Perform clinical examinations and procedures appropriate to the role. Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and specialist services. Maintain accurate, contemporaneous electronic clinical records. Participate in clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities. Work collaboratively with GPs and other healthcare professionals. Deliver safe, compassionate and patient-centred care at all times.

- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations
- Develop and implement personalised treatment plans in collaboration with patients and healthcare teams
- Administer medications safely and effectively, adhering to established protocols
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary
- Provide health education and counselling to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options
- Assist in the management of chronic illnesses and acute health issues
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with legal and organisational standards
- Support junior staff and participate in clinical training sessions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations within the clinical setting
Essential Criteria
Applicants must have: Registered Nurse with current NMC registration. Master's level qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent recognised ANP qualification).Independent Prescriber qualification (V300).Minimum of 2 years' experience working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care, General Practice, Urgent Care or similar setting. Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience managing both acute and chronic conditions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent clinical documentation skills. Commitment to evidence-based practice. Right to work in the UK.
Experience
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology
- Demonstrated expertise in medication administration and patient care management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Criteria
Experience working within private healthcare. Experience using electronic medical record systems (e.g. Pabau, Semble)- training available if needed Experience in women's health, travel medicine or health screening. Minor illness qualification. Minor injury qualification. Chronic disease management experience. Cervical screening qualification (desirable but not essential).Experience performing ECGs, phlebotomy or spirometry.
