About The Role

Amazon Security Officer (Nights)
Location: Portadown, County Armagh
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off | Night Shifts (12-hour shifts)

About the Role
We are recruiting professional Security Officers to join our team at a busy Amazon depot in Portadown. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced logistics environment, protecting people, property and assets while delivering exceptional customer service. Working permanent night shifts, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for employees, contractors and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Control access and egress for employees, visitors and contractors.
Carry out gatehouse duties, including managing vehicle movements.
Protect client property, personnel and assets.
Conduct regular internal and external security patrols.
Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and security incidents.
Complete accurate incident reports and daily occurrence logs.
Carry out staff, contractor and vehicle searches where required.
Liaise with the Police, Fire & Rescue Service and other emergency services.
Exercise sound judgement and strong interpersonal skills.
Support the operational needs of the client.
Comply with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures.
Follow all client security policies and procedures.
Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.
Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.

Essential Requirements

Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence.
Previous security experience.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Good written and spoken English.
Ability to produce accurate reports.
Physically fit and able to patrol a large site on foot.
Basic IT skills.
Ability to work permanent night shifts on a 4 on, 4 off rotation.

Desirable

CCTV Licence.
First Aid qualification.
Previous logistics, warehouse or depot security experience.
Gatehouse or access control experience.
