Full job description

Senior HR Advisor (Fixed Term Contract)

You will provide a first-class HR service to the firm by delivering professional, commercial and value adding support and advice to the partners, supervisors and employees.

What you will enjoy

Acting as the firm's internal specialist on employment law
Reviewing, updating and drafting HR policies
Leading the firm's ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, sickness absence, flexible working and capability matters
Leading and managing the onboarding and probation process
Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring timely progression of all ER matters
Providing guidance to employees on a range of wellbeing and employee relations matters
Leading and managing the leaver process including conducting exit interviews
Managing the life cycle of the trainee's qualification journey within the firm
Becoming a subject matter expert on all IP exams, liaising with professional bodies and examination boards to ensure the firm is aware of current and future changes
Being responsible for ensuring that all training is delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner
Working with the HR Manager and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion partner to arrange EDI events and initiatives
Supporting the firm's Mental Health First Aider service

What you will need

CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor or ER Specialist role preferably within a professional service, legal or similarly regulated environment
Demonstrable experience managing complex ER cases from end-to-end
Strong, current knowledge of UK employment law and best practice HR
The ability to interpret legislation and draft policies, presentations and guidance documents
Excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills
Experience of managing competing demands and working to tight deadlines
Work collaboratively with the HR team and other departments to identify and drive forward value add initiatives and projects
Experience in the design and delivery of training
