Full job description

Whitehouse Services is looking for a Sales Assistant in our petrol station and convenience store. The role will comprise of both weekday and weekend shifts. The 40 hour week will consist of five shifts, with morning, afternoon and evening shifts currently available.

Extra hours will become available during peak times and to cover holiday and sickness. Flexibility and willingness to cover extra shifts will be expected.

The ideal candidate will:

Be able to provide an excellent standard of customer service;
Be friendly and approachable;
Be flexible and able to work as part of a team;
Have previous experience working in a customer service environment;
Have experience using electronic tills (although training will be provided).

Job Description:

Serving customers;
Unloading deliveries and replenishing shelves;
Assisting in preparation and cooking of food;
Cleaning of coffee machines and food cabinets;
Maintaining a clean and tidy shop;
Providing a safe and healthy environment for customers.

Full training and uniform will be provided, and health & safety inductions will be given. The successful candidate will be working alongside our existing weekday and weekend staff. Preference will be given to candidates with previous retail sales experience.
